Yes, indeed a sad day for the Left, and a very sad one for me personally.

Thanks for posting. Indeed, he was a great heterodox economist. He dropped to me just a line that he was unwell about 4 weeks ago. But didn’t realise it was that serious to take him away from us. A great loss to us. We worked together on a number of UN projects since Asian financial crisis for policy papers. I will miss him immensely.
